Ibis Budget Luton
134 Bed Hotel
M&E Value - £2M
First Ibis budget of this configuration in the UK to match the new style in Europe, it involved a lot of work on design development of the 2nd fix items to achieve the aesthetics required.
Novotel Stansted Airport
250 Bed Hotel
M&E Value - £3.6M
This was a conversion from Hilton to a Novotel. The hotel was to remain occupied which meant that we had to keep the services running whilst we were upgrading the rooms and services. We did this by splitting the building into sections and running temporary loops to keep the remaining parts of the building live.
Marland House, Southampton
107 Bed Student Accommodation Block
M&E Value - £1.85M
This was a conversion from offices to a block of student accommodation, the building fell under the Southampton district heating system which meant that we needed to utilise this within our design. Due to the predicted usage the costings to run the system were going to be high so we worked with Engie and our designers to create a system which allowed us to store and use additional hot water instead of returning it back to the system and in turn having additional costs.
Oakhill Mansions & The Lodge & Oakhill, Bristol
Mansions - 135 Ensuite rooms, The Lodge - 37 Rooms
M&E Value - £3.9M
The Mansions was a conversion from a college to a care home which required a complete new MEPH system. Our client then had permission to build an additional specialist facility (The Lodge). We were able to redesign the system at the main complex to also service the Lodge, this allowed the client to increase the rooms at the lodge as there was no need for a plant room.
Trocadero, Central London
Life Safety Systems
M&E Value - £400k
We carried out the Design and installation of a new Life Safety System which included a generator, Life Safety Panel (fully enclosed) and new Sprinkler Management System and Pumps. This was to service the entire Trocadero building including all shops at ground level. Due to the size of the required equipment we needed to organise all the items to be fabricated and pre packaged off site and then be craned into position. This all happened during the day on the road adjacent to Leicester Square.
